James Boice is one of favorite authors/pastors for the very reasons you mention in this article. I got to hear him speak at WTS in Escondido just about six months before he went to be with the Lord. He took his time with me to answer some questions I had after the message and was very kind and thorough with his answers. I pray that God will open the floodgates with more men in our churches like Boice!
